Five Finger Death Punch is an American heavy metal band formed in 2005 by guitarist Zoltan Bathory and vocalist Ivan Moody. The band's name is a reference to the martial art of Muay Thai, which they claimed was "the most brutal sport in the world". Their music style has been described as a blend of groove metal, thrash metal, and hard rock, with lyrics that often focus on themes of anger, frustration, and rebellion.
Five Finger Death Punch has released eight studio albums to date, including their debut album "The Way of the Fist" in 2007. The band's breakthrough came with their third album "War Is the Answer", which was certified gold by the RIAA in 2010. Since then, they have continued to tour and release new music, with their most recent album "F8" being released in 2020.
Five Finger Death Punch is known for their high-energy live performances, which often feature intense guitar solos and aggressive stage presence. The band has toured with many notable metal acts, including Metallica, Megadeth, and Rob Zombie, and have headlined several festivals including the Rock on the Range festival in 2013.
