G.G. Allin

Gregory "G.G." Allin was an American musician, singer-songwriter, and performance artist who rose to prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. As the founder of the horror punk band The Murder Junkies, Allin's music often blurred the lines between punk rock, hardcore punk, and noise rock. His lyrics frequently dealt with themes of violence, death, and debauchery, earning him a reputation as one of the most controversial figures in underground music.

Allin was known for his intense live performances, which often featured self-mutilation, bloodletting, and other forms of bodily harm. He released several albums throughout his career, including "Hated in the Nation" and "Crucifixion," but it was his live shows that earned him a devoted following among fans of extreme music.

Despite his notoriety, Allin's life was marked by tragedy and struggle. He died at the age of 36 due to an accidental heroin overdose, leaving behind a legacy as one of the most provocative and influential figures in punk rock history.
