Leslie West Vinyl Records

Leslie West is an American rock guitarist and singer-songwriter best known as the founder and lead guitarist of the band Mountain. Born Leslie West Weinstein on June 23, 1945, in New York City, he began his music career in the early 1960s playing with various bands before forming Mountain in 1973.

With his powerful guitar riffs and distinctive vocal style, West helped to establish Mountain as one of the leading hard rock acts of the 1970s. The band's debut album, "Climbing!" (1970), featured the hit single "Mississippi Queen," which has since become a classic rock staple. Throughout the decade, West continued to tour and record with Mountain, releasing several successful albums including "Nantucket Sleigh Ride" (1974) and "Mountain Live!" (1975).

Although Mountain disbanded in 1980, West remained active in the music industry, working as a session musician and touring with various bands. In the early 2000s, he reunited with Mountain's original drummer, Felix Pappalardi, to record and tour once again under the Mountain moniker. Today, West continues to perform and record music, both solo and with various collaborations.
