XTC Vinyl Records

XTC was an influential English rock band formed in 1972 by songwriters Andy Partridge and Colin Moulding, along with drummer Terry Chambers. The band's music was characterized by its eclecticism, wit, and intelligence, often exploring themes of British suburban life, technology, and social commentary.

XTC's early work, such as their debut album "White Music" (1978), showcased a new wave-inspired sound, while later albums like "English Settlement" (1982) and "Skylarking" (1985) demonstrated a more refined, pop-rock approach. The band's most popular song, "Dear God," from the album "Skylarking," became a surprise hit in 1986.

Affected by Partridge's decision to step back from touring and recording in the late 1980s, XTC's output slowed significantly, although they continued to release occasional albums and EPs. Despite this, their influence can be heard in many subsequent bands, including Radiohead, Foo Fighters, and Wilco. In 2003, Partridge reactivated the band name, releasing new material and touring sporadically.
