Julie London Vinyl Records: A Legendary Jazz Vocalist

Julie London was a jazz vocalist and actress who rose to fame in the 1950s with her smooth, sultry voice and intimate style. Born on September 26, 1929, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, London began her music career singing in local bars and clubs before moving to Los Angeles where she became a popular performer at the iconic Hollywood nightclub, Ciro's.

London's music was characterized by its relaxed, laid-back feel, with lyrics that often focused on love, relationships, and everyday life. Her unique vocal style, which blended elements of jazz, pop, and folk, earned her critical acclaim and a devoted fan base. London released over 30 albums during her career, including the classic hits "Cry Me a River" and "Lonely Girl."

In addition to her music, London was also an accomplished actress, appearing in several films and television shows, including the popular sitcom "Lassie." Despite her many accomplishments, however, London's personal life was marked by tragedy when she lost her husband, Jack Reynolds, in 1965. She continued to perform and record music until her passing on October 18, 2000.
