The Arctic Monkeys are a British rock band formed in 2002 in Sheffield, England. The band consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, guitar), Jamie Cook (guitar), Nick O'Malley (bass) and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals). Known for their witty and insightful lyrics, the band has become one of the most successful and influential British rock bands of the 21st century.
After releasing their debut album "Whatever People Say I Do, That's What I'm Not" in 2006 to critical acclaim, the Arctic Monkeys went on to release a string of successful albums including "Favorite Worst Nightmare", "Humbug", and "Suck It and See". Their music often explores themes of youth culture, relationships, and British working-class life. The band is known for their energetic live performances and has toured extensively around the world.
In 2013, the Arctic Monkeys released their critically acclaimed album "AM", which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album featured hit singles like "Do I Wanna Know?" and "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?", both of which reached the top 10 on the UK Singles Chart. The band has won numerous awards, including the Mercury Prize and a Brit Award for Best British Album.
