Black Oak Arkansas Vinyl Records: A Legendary Rock Band
In the early 1970s, Black Oak Arkansas emerged as one of the most exciting and energetic rock bands on the scene. Formed in 1966 by lead vocalist Jim "Dandy" Mangrum and guitarist Rickie Ray Rector, the band's raw energy and blues-infused hard rock sound quickly gained a loyal following across the United States.
Known for their high-octane live performances, which often featured elaborate stage shows complete with pyrotechnics and costume changes, Black Oak Arkansas quickly became one of the most popular touring acts in rock music.
