Faces is a British rock band formed in London in 1969. The band was originally known as Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane's Faces, with Steve Marriott on vocals and guitar, and Ronnie Lane on vocals and bass. After Marriott's departure, the band continued under the name simply "Faces" with Rod Stewart taking over vocal duties.
Throughout their career, Faces released several successful albums, including Faces, Long Player, and A Nod Is As Good As a Wink... To Me. The band's music is characterized by its blues-rock sound, soulful vocals, and memorable songwriting. Their biggest hit was the single "Stay with Me," which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 1971.
Faces has had several lineup changes over the years, but their legacy as a pioneering rock band remains unchanged. In 2012, Rod Stewart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, recognizing his contributions to music with Faces. Despite their ups and downs, the band's music continues to be celebrated by fans around the world.
