The Foo Fighters are an American rock band formed by Nirvana's drummer Dave Grohl in 1994. After the death of Kurt Cobain, Grohl decided to continue making music and began playing guitar and writing songs for what would become the Foo Fighters. The band's self-titled debut album was released in 1995 and featured hits like "This Is a Call" and "Big Me".
The Foo Fighters' sound is a blend of grunge, alternative rock, and pop punk, with lyrics that often focus on personal relationships, nostalgia, and social commentary. Over the years, the band has had numerous chart-topping singles, including "Everlong", "My Hero", and "All My Life". Their seventh studio album, Sonic Highways, was released in 2014 and featured songs inspired by different cities around the world.
