Gloria Estefan is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur who has been a dominant force in the music industry for over four decades. Born Gloria María Milagrosa Fajardo García on September 1, 1957, in Havana, Cuba, she immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of just nine months old.

Estefan's impressive discography includes numerous hit singles and albums, including the iconic hit "Conga," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. Her 1987 album "Primitive Love" was a major commercial success, earning her a Grammy Award for Best Music Video, Short Form. In 1992, Estefan suffered a life-altering accident when she was struck by a tractor-trailer while touring with her husband, Emilio.
