John Jacob "J.J." Cale

J.J. Cale was an American musician and songwriter best known for his work on electric blues music, particularly his unique style of slide guitar playing.

Throughout his career, Cale has released 14 studio albums, including the critically acclaimed "Troubadour" (1976) and "Traveler" (1980). His songs have been covered by numerous famous artists, such as Eric Clapton, Neil Young, and Mark Knopfler, among others. Despite his own significant contributions to the music world, Cale remained somewhat under the radar until 1997 when Eric Clapton recorded "Cocaine" for his album "Crossroads," which then led to a resurgence in popularity.
