Kara, born Aaliyah Jade Drennan, is an American singer-songwriter and dancer best known for her powerful vocals and captivating stage presence. Born on November 2, 1993, in Houston, Texas, Kara began performing at a young age, singing in local talent shows and competitions.
As she grew older, Kara's passion for music only intensified, leading her to form the girl group G.R.L. (Girl Radiation League) in 2011 with fellow singer-songwriter Natasha Slayton. The group gained popularity after performing on the Nickelodeon show "iCarly" and touring with pop sensation Selena Gomez.
