Naked Raygun was an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1980 by Jeff Pezzati and Camatsos. The band's music was characterized by its raw energy, catchy hooks, and introspective lyrics, which often explored themes of social commentary, politics, and personal relationships.
Throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Naked Raygun released a string of influential albums on the Homestead Records label, including "All Sink or Swim" (1983), "Thokk" (1985), and "Fixation" (1989). The band's sound evolved over time, incorporating elements of post-punk, gothic rock, and alternative rock into their music.
Naked Raygun disbanded in the mid-1990s, but their legacy continued to inspire a new generation of punk rockers. In 2005, the band reunited for a series of live shows and recordings, releasing a new album titled "Rarities" in 2014. Naked Raygun's music remains a beloved part of American punk rock's history and continues to influence bands today.
