Queensrÿche

Formed in 1982, Queensrÿche is an American progressive metal band from Bellevue, Washington. The band's music style has evolved over the years, incorporating elements of heavy metal, hard rock, and even classical music. Led by vocalist Geoff Tate, Queensrÿche gained popularity with their debut album "Queensrÿche" in 1984, which featured the hit single "Warning."

The band's most successful era was during the late 1980s and early 1990s, with albums such as "Operation: Mindcrime" (1988) and "Empires" (1990). These albums showcased the band's storytelling ability through concept albums, with intricate lyrics and complex music arrangements. The band's music often explored themes of social commentary, politics, and personal struggle.

In 2012, Queensrÿche underwent a lineup change, which resulted in Geoff Tate leaving the band. The remaining members reformed under the name "Queensrÿche" (without the diacritical mark) and released new music. Despite the changes, the band's legacy remains strong, with fans continuing to appreciate their unique sound and thought-provoking lyrics.
