Rudimentary Peni Vinyl Records

Rudimentary Peni was an English punk rock band formed in 1976 by guitarist and vocalist Kevin Stanton, bassist Steve Walton, and drummer John Gosling. The group was known for their intense live performances, which often featured chaotic stage antics and destruction of equipment. Their music blended elements of punk, post-punk, and hardcore, with lyrics that explored themes of social upheaval, politics, and personal struggle.

Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, Rudimentary Peni released a string of influential EPs and singles on labels like Crass Records and Rough Trade. Their music gained a devoted following among the UK punk underground, as well as international fans of the genre. Despite their relatively short career, the band's impact on the development of punk and alternative rock is still widely felt today.

In 1982, Rudimentary Peni released their most famous recording, the Cents for Sense EP, which is often cited as a key influence by bands like Fugazi and Propagandhi. The band's final release was the 1983 single ""Farce"", after which they disbanded due to creative differences and personal tensions. Although Rudimentary Peni's active career was short-lived, their music continues to inspire new generations of punk and alternative rock fans.
