Soundgarden's breakthrough came with the release of their third album, Beverly Hills Cop III Soundtrack, featuring the hit single "Rusty Cage." This was followed by a string of critically acclaimed and commercially successful albums, including Superunknown and Down on Sunset. The band's unique blend of heavy riffs, soaring vocals, and introspective lyrics captivated audiences worldwide.

In 2012, Soundgarden reunited after a decade-long hiatus, releasing their sixth studio album, King Animal. This critically acclaimed album was hailed as a triumphant return for the band, showcasing their signature sound and Chris Cornell's unmistakable vocals. Tragically, Chris Cornell passed away in 2017, leaving behind a legacy of unforgettable music with Soundgarden.
