The Heptones Vinyl Records

The Heptones were a Jamaican vocal trio known for their harmonious blend of rocksteady and reggae sounds. Formed in the late 1960s, the group consisted of Bobby Davis, Jackie Wilson, and Pauline Morrison. Their music was characterized by sweet harmonies, catchy melodies, and socially conscious lyrics that tackled topics such as poverty, inequality, and social justice.

One of their most famous songs is "Fattie Fattie", a hit single from 1967 that showcases the group's ability to craft infectious, danceable tunes. The Heptones' music was heavily influenced by American soul and R&B, as well as traditional Jamaican folk and mento styles. Their harmonies were particularly noteworthy, with Davis and Wilson's smooth vocals complemented by Morrison's distinctive soprano.

The Heptones were also known for their work on the seminal Studio One label, where they recorded several albums and singles alongside other legendary artists such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Burning Spear.
