The Spinners are an American R&B vocal group from Ferndale, Michigan, formed in 1954 by founding members Bobby Smith, Pops Popwell, Henry Fambrough, Billy Henderson, and Philippé Wynne. With their smooth harmonies and signature sound, the group quickly gained popularity, releasing a string of hit singles including "I'll Be Around", "Could It Be I'm in Love", and "Then Came You" (feat. Dionne Warwick). Their music often dealt with themes of love, relationships, and social issues.

The Spinners' most successful period came during the 1970s, with hits like "One of a Kind (Love Affair)", "They Just Can't Stop It the (Stop and Go) Game", and "You're Throwing Away Your Life".
