Toni Braxton is an American R&B singer-songwriter and actress. Born on October 9, 1967, in Severn, Maryland, she rose to fame in the early 1990s with her debut album "Toni Braxton" which included hit singles like "Another Sad Love Song" and "Give U My Heart". The album was a commercial success, selling over 10 million copies worldwide and earning Toni multiple Grammy nominations.
In addition to her successful music career, Toni has also made a name for herself in the acting world. She appeared in several films and television shows, including "How to Get Away with Murder", "The O.J. Simpson Story", and "Broadway's Big Night". Her most notable role was as the character Lucinda Marie in the 1996 film "Waiting to Exhale" alongside Whitney Houston.
Toni has released several successful albums throughout her career, including "Secrets", "Toni Braxton", and "Libra Scale". She has also been recognized for her philanthropic work, particularly in the area of breast cancer research. In 2011, she was diagnosed with Lyme disease and became an advocate for awareness and treatment of the condition.
