Underoath is an American Christian rock band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, formed in 1997. The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, but their unique blend of post-hardcore and metalcore has remained a constant throughout their career. With lyrics that often explore themes of faith, hope, and redemption, Underoath's music has resonated with fans around the world.
Underoath released their debut album, 'False Sense of Security', in 1999, but it was their sophomore effort, 'They're Only Chasing Safety', that gained them widespread attention and acclaim. The band's sound continued to evolve over the years, with albums like 'Define the Fold' (2003) and 'Lost in the Sound of Separation' (2006) solidifying their reputation as one of the most innovative and exciting bands in the genre.
In 2012, Underoath announced a hiatus, but they reunited in 2016 with a new lineup featuring former drummer Daniel Davison.
